'디지털 포엠'이란 디지털 기술을 활용하여 전통적인 시 형식에서 벗어나 다양한 시적 표현을 시도하는 시의 새로운 형식입니다. 이것은 텍스트의 배열, 시각적 효과, 청각적 요소, 그리고 수용자의 참여와 상호작용을 포함하는 다양한 멀티미디어 요소를 결합하여 만들어질 수 있습니다. 디지털 포엠은 일반적으로 문자시가 담을 수 없는 새로운 의미와 경험을 창출하며, 비선형적 읽기와 생성적 텍스트 특성을 통해 수용자가 시의 창작과 수용 과정에 더욱 깊이 관여할 수 있게 합니다.

Key strategies include the dynamic characterization strategy, which maximizes visual effects by arranging and animating text; the multimediaization strategy, which combines visual and auditory elements with text; the interaction strategy, which promotes audience participation and communication; and the hypertextualization strategy, which divides poems into smaller units linked together to allow for non-linear reading. These strategies make digital poetry generative and audience-centric in nature.
